Results of Republic Essay Competition

Young women take the top three spots out of the ten essays shortlisted in ARM’s essay competition for high school students. The winner was Gihansa Samarawickrema from Victoria, with Orla Latawski (WA) second and Sophie Macdonald (NSW) third. The winning essay on the topic “Young Australians Deserve to Have a Say on an Australian Head of State” was published by Fairfax. You can read an edited version of it on the link below.
