Tour de France time again. Stage 1, the Grand Depart, is in Brittany this year with the distinctive black and white Breton flags fluttering all along the roads of the route. This flag dates to 1923 and was designed by an ardent Breton nationalist who thought Brittany should be independent from France. “Good to start with a flag and leave the constitution until later” says Bridie O’Donnell commentating for SBS.
