The Australian reports the views of Liberal Party republicans printed in the Liberal moderates magazine “Options”. One of the contributors is Mrs Christine Gallus, Member for Hindmarsh (SA). In her essay, Mrs Gallus writes, ” I want a Head of State who has enjoyed the warmth of the Indian Ocean and has tasted the salt of the Pacific. I want a Head of State who knows the pain of drought and the relief of rain.” The paper describes her essay as “emotional”.
