Claudia Scheinbaum is elected as Mexico’s first female President in a landslide victory. Ms Scheinbaum studied physics and gained a doctorate in energy engineering before becoming an expert on climate change. She was the first female mayor of Mexico City 2018-2023 before resigning to run for President.
