To add to the Project Republic launch, first book on the republic for quite a while, Professor Anne Twomey from the University of Sydney is the guest on Margaret Throsby’s interview program (ABC Classic FM at www.abc.net.au/classic) talking about how the Queen intervenes in the business of Australian governments more than we ever imagine. WfaAR has a letter published in The Canberra Times about the Union Jack crowning our national parliament. Despite it being the 60th anniversary of the Queen of Australia’s coronation on 2 June, it was a republic sort of day in Oz.
