An event that is being run by a not-for-profit charity into which the Australian and NSW Governments are tipping&nbsp;at least $7m, and probably much&nbsp;more,&nbsp;seems to have no problem getting its gig off the ground at the Governor-General&#8217;s house, ie really his grandmother&#8217;s&nbsp;place, on prime Sydney waterfront. Shame about the driving rain to spoil the view. But it didn&#8217;t obscure the deep connections between the Governor-General &#8211;&nbsp;QEII&#8217;s onshore representative &#8211;&nbsp;the military past and present; the&nbsp;federal and NSW&nbsp;Governments and various people on the&nbsp;Board&nbsp;connected with his father&#8217;s charities.
